Welcome to Washington! Tacoma can be a little rough around the edges. Here are some of our recommendations:
- Steilacoom: Historical town, has beautiful water views
- Ruston: Upscale, lots to do around town
-University Place/Fircrest (Where we live!): Quiet, beautiful, mostly retired people
- Lakewood: affordable and local
We can’t wait to celebrate with you! We’re keeping the day intimate with our closest family and friends. We’re sorry for any confusion from the RSVP page.
The summers here are much chillier than in Texas! I recommend bringing a light jacket or cardigan for early mornings and evenings. It does warm up during the day, but you’ll definitely want a layer.
Yes, there is a designated smoking spot by the giant warthogs.
Yes! There will be plenty of beer, wine, champagne, and etc. available. There is no hard liquor allowed on the venue.
You have to visit our favorite parks!!
Point Defiance Park & Zoo: A great place to spend a full day! You can walk the many trails, check out the zoo and Rose Garden, then head down to Owen Beach for awesome water views and Mount Rainier on a clear day.
- Chambers Bay Park: This is down the street from us and it's the perfect place to walk or lay out a blanket and read. You can walk down to the sound and see lots of islands!
